For more details visit the Current Designs website. Kestrel 120
Like its namesake, the pretty little falcon who flies with uncanny efficiency, this attractive addition to the Current Designs product line has purpose. The Kestrel is comfortable enough to use for exercise while providing a reliable platform from which to fish, take photos, observe wildlife or simply enjoy a relaxing jaunt across favorite waters. Short trips are enhanced by its generous cockpit for ease of entry and exit. The paddler is provided with ultimate comfort and stability, while the wide cushioned seat and adjustable back rest offer hours of relaxing kayaking. Gear has a place in the Kestrel's surprisingly large rear hatch. This is a straight-tracking, easy-maneuvering kayak that brings the term "recreational" to a new level. In cabin country or urban centers the Kestrel has a distinct place. Our commitment to fit and comfort carries on in our recreational touring kayaks. We provide the TCS Kestrel 120 in two sizes. Our standard version, is 12'6" long by 26" wide and easily accommodates most paddlers. The Kestrel 120 HV is 2" wider and 1" deeper, providing amazing stability for even the largest paddlers. Both models come fully outfitted with reflective perimeter lines, restrained toggles, left and right fishing rod holder platforms and recessed paddle parks, rear hatch and bulkhead, and complete fore and aft deck rigging with paddle float rescue capability. When built using Current Designs' newly developed Thermoformed Composite System (TCS), you get great looks and lighter weight at an affordable price. For the very lightest weight, we also build the standard volume model in a fiberglass/Kevlar/graphite composite hybrid layup. Kestrel 120 Rotomolded
